Navigating the dynamic landscape of business operations requires seamless management of diverse entities, and this article is your key to unlocking the full potential of D365 Business Central for this purpose. Effortlessly access and manage multiple companies within the D365 Business Central environment with this step-by-step guide.
First, open up your web browser navigate to the Dynamics 365 Business Central login page. Once you enter your credentials and log in, you will be directed to the home page, shown below.
From the home page, you can access your full list of available companies through the environment drop down menu, located in the top right corner of the screen.
Once the environment drop down menu is open, you will be able to see all of the environments that you have access to.
Find the environment you want to switch to and click on the name to pull up the action dropdown. Select "Switch" in the dropdown if it is not the default action.
Once the button says "Switch" simply click on it to switch to the selected environment. You will see a loading screen as D365 Business Central works to pull up the new environment.
Once the new environment has loaded, you will see the default dashboard for that environment and can view data or perform tasks as needed.
If you need to switch to yet another company, simply repeat the process to access the required environment. When you are done, be sure to sign out through your account details by clicking on the circle in the top right-hand corner and then selecting "Sign Out".
Once you see the screen above, you know that you have successfully signed out and can close your browser.
