Senior ERP Consultant (Finance)

Canada (Remote), Full-Time

About the Role


As an ERP Finance Consultant, you will be involved in all aspects of implementing Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions. With a strong expertise in financial processes, you will act as a subject matter expert and functional lead/co-lead for key financial modules for customers and internal teams on Dynamics 365 Business Central implementation projects and engagements. You will work closely with clients to analyze their business needs, design effective ERP solutions, and guide them through implementation, configuration, and optimization to maximize the value of their investment.

What You'll Do


Financial Process Optimization

  • Meet with clients and prospects to analyze and understand their processes and requirements and produce analysis reports detailing your conclusions and recommendations

  • Translate requirements into ERP configurations, identify gaps in system functionality compared to client’s requirements, propose solutions

  • Design and implement best practices and scalable solutions in areas such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Budgeting, and Financial Reporting


ERP Implementation & Support

  • Lead end-to-end ERP implementations, with a focus on finance modules.

  • Configure ERP systems to meet client-specific financial and operational requirements

  • Support clients throughout the deployment of the ERP solution, including the design, integration, configuration, customization, and testing of the implemented solution

  • Actively work on resolving technical issues and establishing improved solutions.

  • Provide post-implementation support and address client queries or issues


Client Engagement & Training

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives and pain points

  • Deliver training to end-users and client teams on ERP functionalities

  • Build strong client relationships to ensure project success and client satisfaction


Technical Expertise

  • Collaborate with technical teams to develop customizations, integrations, and reports

  • Ensure data migration and reconciliation processes align with financial accuracy

  • Stay updated with ERP system updates, new features, and industry trends


Professional Experience


  • Strong understanding of ERP applications, preferably Microsoft Dynamics NAV/ D365 Business Central

  • Knowledgeable in financial management disciplines and familiar with technologies that enable the Finance function 

  • Experience in MS Dynamics such as configuration, integrations, and troubleshooting

  • Experience implementing custom Dynamics Business processes and workflows

  • Experience in developing work plans, project scopes, and presentations to assist in selling work to clients

  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders (at all levels) across the organization

Qualifications & Requirements


  • Financial accreditation such as CGA, CMA, or CPA and/or bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting

  • Existing Microsoft certifications are an asset and having the motivation to obtain new Microsoft certifications

  • Proven organizational, written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with individuals at all levels within an organization

  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work in a self-directed manner and develop strong working relationships with clients

  • Proven track record of delivering successful results

  • Passion for technology and adding value

  • Positive, can-do attitude
